Manufacturer "ContiTech Luftfedersysteme"

Experience and customer proximity, knowledge and solution expertise have made ContiTech a sought-after development partner and original equipment manufacturer - and as a rubber specialist, the number one in the non-tire sector worldwide.

1955: Continental is the first company to develop air spring bellows for the suspension of buses and trucks.

Today, the ContiTech Air Spring Systems business unit develops components and complete systems for controllable air springs in commercial vehicles, buses, trailers, rail vehicles and for machine and foundation mounts. We have long been the market leader in Europe for air springs. In commercial vehicles, ContiTech air springs make a significant contribution to driving safety, economy and comfort. The basis for this is our material and process expertise as well as state-of-the-art production and testing technology, which we innovatively contribute to the value creation of our customers as a development partner and original equipment manufacturer - and have been doing so for decades.

With the merger of PHOENIX and ContiTech, the ContiTech Air Spring Systems business unit has more than 100 years of experience in the original equipment of commercial vehicles with air springs. With our two product brands ContiTech and PHOENIX, we cover almost all commercial vehicle applications in the replacement market.

The extensive range includes rolling lobe air springs and bellows for trucks, buses and trailers as well as sleeve rolling lobe air springs for driver's seats and cab mounts. Due to their excellent and proven quality, numerous commercial vehicle manufacturers use our air springs as original equipment.

In buses, air springs ensure safety and comfort. Regardless of the number of passengers, level control keeps the vehicle position and the boarding height constant. With additional control functions, the vehicle body can be lowered for comfortable boarding and alighting. As a rule, two air springs are used on the front and trailing axles, and four on the rear axles or drive axles.
